When the firm founders, John B. Boyd and Jerry Kenter (Boyd & Kenter, P.C.), and partners J.R. Boyd and Brianne Thomas merged with Mark Parrish, Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish LLC was born. John B. Boyd
John Boyd founded the law firm in November 1983. Before that, he was a Missouri Workers’ Compensation judge. John has lectured on workers’ rights across the state, nationally and internationally; has testified before Missouri House and Senate committees and has written extensively on the subject.
JOHN R. BOYD
J.R. Boyd is a fellow in the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers and has been a member and held leadership positions with the Workers’ Injury Law Advocacy Group (WILG) since its inception in 1995 and is a member of the national AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee.
JERRY KENTER
Jerry Kenter, a veteran of the United States Air Force, is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Jerry assists veterans who have filed an appeal due to claim processing errors, missing or lost medical evidence with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
BRIANNE THOMAS
Brianne Thomas is a seasoned litigator and serves as Managing Partner at Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish. She has held leadership positions with the Association for Women Lawyers (AWL) of Greater Kansas City and serves on the Board of Governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
MARK PARRISH
Mark Parrish represents individuals, families and small businesses in products liability, railroad crossing litigation, insurance litigation and other civil litigation matters involving cases and clients throughout the United States. He serves on the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) Board of Governors and the board of Lawyers Encouraging Academic Performance (LEAP), The American Association for Justice (AAJ) and Kansas Trial Lawyers Association (KTLA).
JOSH SANDERS
Detail-oriented and proactive with a strong work ethic, Josh has assisted and taken lead in all aspects of civil litigation, including significant courtroom experience. He has also written appellate briefs and argued before the Court of Appeals for the Western District of Missouri. Josh was named partner at Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish in 2019.
JASON IEZZI
Jason has first-chaired workers’ compensation hearings and assisted partners Brianne Thomas, Mark Parrish and Jerry Kenter in many aspects of civil litigation. He has also written appellate briefs and argued before the Court of Appeals for the Western District of Missouri. Jason was named partner at Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish in 2020.
RAYMOND SALVA, JR.
Ray is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. Ray was named partner at Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish in 2020.

Dana Apple has represented unions and employees in state court, federal court, before the National Labor Relations Board and in numerous arbitration hearings.

Jeff Carey has been practicing law for more than 20 years. He received the Legal Champion’s Award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly for his work on a federal corruption case and in support of the initiative petition process.
